Conventional Custom Built (stick-built homes) is the most common residential construction with lumber and nails to assemble the modules on site. With the on-site assembly, floor, wall and roof truss separately but simultaneously fit together with undoubted construction workers errors whereas for most of the modular homes no human error can be found in practice.
The traditional on-site construction model can be divided into three major steps, transportation, assembly on-site and substantial completion of the building. The term came about as construction workers assemble the home board by board (or stick by stick) from the foundation to top, starting with a frame structure moving onward by rough-ins, insulation, drywalling and finishing until the home is ready to move-in. This is the most traditional method for building a home that custom-built customers picture in their minds.
